Abba Voyage ist das letzte Abba-Album

ABBA haben scheinbar bestätigt, dass ihr neues Album Voyage ihr letztes sein wird.
Die schwedischen Pop-Ikonen haben sich für ihr neuntes Album - das erste seit fast 40 Jahren - wiedervereinigt, das am 5. November erscheinen soll, aber laut den Mitgliedern Benny Andersson und Björn Ulvaeus werden ABBA nach der Veröffentlichung von Voyage keine neue Musik mehr machen.
Im Gespräch mit The Guardian gibt Benny zu, dass die Gruppe zwar zwei unvollendete Songs auf dem neuen Album gelassen hat, es aber sehr unwahrscheinlich ist, dass sie sie in einem zukünftigen Projekt wieder aufgreifen werden.
"Das war's", bestätigt er. "Das muss es sein, weißt du." Wenn man sich jedoch an ABBAs letzten Fernsehauftritt vor der ersten Pause 1982 erinnert, scheinen sowohl Benny als auch Björn sicher zu sein, dass dies wirklich das Ende für ABBA ist.
"Ich habe 1982 nicht wirklich gesagt, daß es das war", sagte Benny. "Ich habe nie gesagt, dass es Abba nie wieder geben würde. Aber ich kann euch jetzt sagen: Das ist es."
Nach der Veröffentlichung von Voyage am 5. November wird die Band eine revolutionäre neue, hochmoderne virtuelle Show im Londoner Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park mit digitalen "ABBAtars" veranstalten.
Die Vorbestellungen für Voyage haben auch einen Rekord für ihr Label Universal Music UK aufgestellt, denn 80.000 Exemplare wurden schon vor der Veröffentlichung verkauft.
